ARTIST NOMINATED BY Kestutis Kuizinas
E.B. Itso (1977) is one of the pseudonyms of a Danish artist who lives in Copenhagen. He works in a variety of media, as well as installation, photography, collage and sculpture. The recurrent motif in his work is his engagement with people living on the fringes of society. He explores both rural and urban areas, investigating unconventional lifestyles such as those of ‘hobos’ (itinerant vagabonds who often travel by freight trains). He is particularly focused on the lives of abandoned places, non-places and forgotten passages.
